When Overthinking Is Really a Fear of Trusting What You Already Know
INTUITIONCLARITY
There comes a point when you are no longer looking for an answer. You are looking for permission to trust what you already sense.
You replay the conversation. Analyse the silence. Ask why they changed. Recalculate the business decision. Seek another opinion. Wait for one final sign.
But what if the confusion is not the absence of clarity?
Sometimes, overthinking begins when your inner perception has already registered something your rational mind is not yet prepared to accept.
The relationship has shifted. The partnership is misaligned. The opportunity looks right on paper but feels fundamentally wrong. Or the path you have invested years in no longer belongs to the person you are becoming.
This is where intuition is often misunderstood. It is not about abandoning reason. It is about recognising information that may appear before you can logically explain it.
The question is not always: “What should I do?”
Sometimes the more powerful question is:
“What do I already know—and what am I afraid will change if I finally trust it?”
Clarity does not always arrive as an answer.
Sometimes, it arrives as the courage to stop negotiating with what you already know.
